“Album of the Month – It’s impossible to listen to the CD without coming away feeling uplifted....it was well worth the wait”  (Guitar Techniques)

“Forcione is a unique performer, a master of the guitar and an explorer of new ground between existing cultures. Seek him out - your ears and your soul will thank you.”(londonjazzblogspot.co.uk)

“In among a joyful, dancing Mandela tribute, ‘Madiba’s Jive’, the slow-building, raga-like ‘Tar’ and the more reflective ‘Stay Forever’, Forcione revisits the percussive solo tone poem, ‘Touch Wood’, showing both delicate fingering and dramatic pacing, before the trio reconvenes…with a tight display of exuberant, flowing creativity.”

The remarkable Antonio Forcione...plays delicate jazzy love songs, stamping flamenco, Astor Piazzolla tangos, the blues, and a lot more. He has an untamed aspect that sets him apart from most guitar virtuosos, though; it's expressed in slewing, unresolved runs, gunshot single notes and feverish hammerings on the soundbox The Guardian

When Antonio Forcione plays guitar he becomes three people, Antonio the spiritual, Antonio the mental and Antonio the physical.  1inhabits his instrument like no one else on earth; watching this man play guitar is like seeing a Dante poem come alive before your eyes – all the laughter, madness, pain, love and ecstasy of the human condition is laid bare, flowing, from the tips of his fingers to the soles of his feet the new album showcases his compositions with local musicians who, together, evoke a joyous, spiritually beguiling homage to a continent still going through immense change. His first album in five years, Sketches of Africa is eagerly awaited by the legion of fans Antonio has built up over twenty years of composing, performing and thrilling audiences all over the world.
