Carl Orr Quartet

During his years in Australia from the 70s to the mid-90s Carl worked with Jackie Orszacky, Dale Barlow, Marcia Hines and Steve Hunter. After moving to London in 1995 he worked with Billy Cobham from 1996-2000 and in that context he performed with Randy Brecker, Ernie Watts, Gary Husband and George Duke. Since then he has been concentrating on his own music as well as working with many other artists including Sean Wayland, Tammy Weis and Nathan Haines. Carl has 7 cds to his credit and is featured on albums by Billy Cobham, Dale Barlow, Nathan Haines,Jackie Orszaczky and many others. Carl teaches guitar at Middlesex University and The Academy of Contemporary Music.

 Carl Orr is of the mind that his music can help make the world better. That is naïve to some. But those are the people who need to listen more. A musician has to believe in his music. He has already done so on past recordings such as Deep Down and Absolute Freedom. On Emergence he does so again. Orr is joined by a group of gifted musicians.
