Ronny Jordan is widely credited by many for restoring the guitar to its rightful place in mainstream music and is also known as the facther of Acide Jazz guitar. His very unique style is hybrid of the classic guitar sound of his legendary jazz guitar forefathers Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Kenny Burrell and George Benson combined with today's most modern funk grooves and hip hop break beats laced with smooth and modern cool. As a result, Ronny's style is very often imitated but never duplicated.
Over the course of his carreer, Ronny has won numerous awards including the Gibson Guitar Jazz Guitarist of the Year Award and the MOBO Best Jazz Act Awards.
Ronny has performed all over the headlining major jazz festivals and his own concerts which are numerous to name.
Ronny has appeared on stage and recorded with the likes of the legendary George Benson, GURU's Jazzmatazz, Mos Def, DJs Krush, Spinna and Hasebe, Chisoko Yoshihiro, soul singer Maysa, saxophonist Karl Denson and Courtney Pine, guitarists Rusell Malone, Jimmy Dludlu, Jonathan Butler and Ernie Smith, smooth jazz funk legend Pieces of a Dream and many others.
