Ronnie's Bar - OPEN TO ALL FROM 6PM DAILY

On the first floor, above the main club is Ronnies Bar, a beautifully refurbished 100 capacity bar and lounge. Ronnies Bar was previously members only but is now open to all from 6pm every evening, we have bar and table service, a food menu and a full cocktail list. Open Monday through Saturday we have built up an increasing number of music nights over the past few months, all of which charge a nominal entry fee from 9pm onwards. We have kept the musical direction within a jazz framework with jazz jams and latin nights but also looked to stretch the boundaries with an indi film night and a jazz dance Saturday.

TUESDAYS – The Soundtrack
“Films and live music from the soundtrack to your life”

The Soundtrack is a brand new night for film and music lovers at Ronnie's Bar, bought to you by UK Soul singer Oggie. Offering a great chance to experience live music from one of the UK's rising stars, Oggie is a well-established name on the UK urban vocal scene and a regular guest at the famed Ronnie Scott’s Soul Family sessions.

Watch brand new short films and documentaries from the freshest young film makers in the country. Enjoy 'The Soundtrack' open mic with songs from all of your favourite films as well as special guest performers.

WEDNESDAYS – The Jazz Jam

The Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Jam is quickly becoming the most talked about interactive music session in town. Featuring a wealth of talent from both household names and up-and-coming players, the Jazz Jam lets you get up close and personal to the music in the cool surroundings of the Ronnie’s Upstairs Bar. The guest band changes from week to week, recently featuring names like Darryl Kenilworth and Steve Fishwick, Chris Lowe, Larry Bartley and Nathaniel Facey, and audiences can expect to see a few surprise guests dropping by for a play as well.

THURSDAYS – The Cooker

Thursday at the Upstairs Bar is home to The Cooker, a residency for four amazing acts showcasing their music. Rotating on a weekly basis, the night features jazz, soul and boogaloo flavoured grooves from The Filthy Six, smooth lounge sounds from the exceptionally gifted young crooner Atila, hard-hitting funk from vocalist Kelly Dickson’s Mamafeelgood Funkagenda and hard-bop. Whatever your tastes, The Cooker is guaranteed to stir up your Thursday nights.

FRIDAYS – Viva La Revolucion!

A celebration of music hosted by the hottest Cuban players in town, Viva La Revolucion! features a selection of artists from London's eclectic world scene. The night peaks with a HOT Latin-style jam session that keeps everyone dancing and spirits high.

Probably the best Latin singer in London, Javier Camilo is also a virtuoso on the acoustic guitar and percussion. He's been playing in London with Roberto Pla, and Omar Puente, and has shared the stage with Ibrahim Ferrer and Omara Portuondo. Regular guests on the night include the amazing Cuban singer Yaime and Sur Caribe's Rene, Michel and Randy and Monte (La Xula), Morski, Ramsay, Susana Lang-Lenton, Luzmira Zerpa, Otto Nascarela (Saravah Soul) and Domingo Candelario.

SATURDAYS – Walking In Rhythm

Saturdays sees the Upstairs Bar taken over by the cool sounds of host and DJ Jimboselector from 9pm until 3am. The Walking In Rhythm nights create an upbeat but laid-back atmosphere of the best house party you’ve never been to, with a music selection that can combine anything from Duke Ellington, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown and anything else that will get the crowd on their feet. Kick off your shoes and get on down to a great mix of jazz, blues, funk, soul, reggae and much more besides.
