Get ready for the spiciest Sunday brunch this side of Bourbon Street, as the Big Easy finds its way to Soho. Featuring globetrotting jazz & rhythm n blues singer, actress, activist and superstar Lillian Boutté.
Lillian Boutté is a New Orleans institution, the city’s official ‘Ambassador of Music’ (the first to receive this title since Louis Armstrong). In a long and distinguished career she’s performed with musical legends ranging from Professor Longhair and Dr John to the UK’s own Humphrey Lyttleton. Mentored from a young age by the mythical Allen Toussaint, she’s a woman on a mission, touring the planet to spread the message of the rich musical culture of her native city. She’s recorded a number of highly successful albums and as an actress appeared in Alan Parker’s hit film Angel Heart (as well as contributing to the soundtrack). Most recently, following Hurricane Katrina, she’s been instrumental in support of The New Orleans Musician’s Clinic. For the last 4 years the Fund has offered accommodation and tour support to fellow musicians from the city. She has also worked extensively to help Katrina victims by tirelessly performing at benefits and fundraisers.
You really can’t afford to miss this opportunity to catch this internationally acclaimed singer whose stunning voice, charismatic personality, and infectious passion for music amazes and beguiles crowds wherever she performs.
SO kick back, grab some brunch and a drink and let the good times roll!
