The celebrated American clarinet star KEN PEPLOWSKI in concert with Europe’s premier jazz clarinettist JULIAN MARC STRINGLE, accompanied by Britain’s Oscar Peterson - CRAIG MILVERTON on piano, bass ace AL SWAINGER, and the dynamic NICK MILWARD on drums, ‘The Clarinet Maestros’ will perform an exciting and refreshing programme of melodies by great British & American tunesmiths…Gershwin, Newley & Bricusse, Rodgers & Hart, Bart, Johnny Mercer, Reid and Bernstein.

In the swing era the ‘Kings of the Clarinet’ Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Jimmy Dorsey, & Woody Herman were huge pop stars. They all inspired the legendary Buddy de Franco to  achieve stardom on the instrument..

Even Glenn Miller created his original big–band sound by using master clarinettist Peanuts Hucko to lead his Sax section .

Today, Clarinet Maestro’s Ken Peplowski & Eddie Daniels ‘fly the flag’ for the instrument in the USA, while virtuoso’s Julian Marc Stringle & Mark Crooks excite audiences here in Europe..

On April 26th at Soho’s Ronnie Scott Club, Ken Peplowski & Julian Marc Stringle play a sparkling tribute to the ‘Kings of the Clarinet’ backed by Britain’s Oscar Peterson
