Ronnie Scott's presents A Burn’s Night Special

On 25th Jan Ronnie Scotts celebrate Burns Night with a Burning Jazz Special. This has been a tradition at the club for many years now, and Ronnie himself used to present Burns nights in the 1970’s.
This evening house pianist James Pearson will host the evening, which will have special guest vocalist Tina May. Head Chef Andy Hoyte has created a special menu for the evening which of course will have Ronnie’s own favourite dish, Haggis on the menu.

But What is a Burn’s night special....quite simple. Its jazz versions of great Scottish tunes....like an Oscar Peterson version of the “Gay Gordons” , a Charlie Parker version of “Hoot’s Mon”  or even an Errol Garner version of “I belong to Glasgow”....the amazing,  award winning singer Tina May has devised a special program which combines all things Scottish with all things Jazz...and on top of that you can expect a few surprises, and maybe some audience participation...There may even be a prize for the best Kilt!!!
