Ronnie Scott’s has always upheld a fine tradition of having its own exceptional musicians in house, as well as attracting the greatest players from around the world. The most recent incarnation of the Ronnie’s Big Band, the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra serves to represent what the club as a whole stands for – incredible music and incredible musicians.

Featuring Pete Long as band leader, expect to hear classic big band tunes played by our 18-piece orchestra. Tonight celebrates what would have been Tubby Hayes' 75th birthday.

Tubby Hayes and Ronnie Scott were great friends, with a mutual respect for each others playing. Consequentially Tubby recorded many legendary sessions at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, some are still being released to this day. Tubby appeared in many jazz TV programmes, and even in the hammer horror film 'Dr. Terrors House of Horror' in which his band are heavily featured.
