A very special evening to launch the Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition, featuring the music of Sir John Dankworth and also premieres of new works for big band composed by some of the country’s finest young jazz talent, and performed by the Trinity College of Music Jazz Ensemble.

The Trinity College Jazz Ensemble consists of some of the finest young jazz musicians in the UK. Like the National Youth Jazz Orchestra they have an explosive energy that literally shakes the rafters of this historic venue. This promises to be a memorable evening that will bring together many of the UK's leading jazz organisations.
