Marcus Miller

Next performance:
Wednesday 20th July - Friday 22nd July

One of jazz, funk and soul's biggest stars Marcus Miller appears at Ronnie Scott's for extremely rare club dates.

Marcus Miller, the world renowned electric bassist and multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer with more than 500 recording credits who has collaborated with a large spectrum of Artists such as Eric Clapton , Miles Davis , Luther Vandross , Aretha Franklin, Brian Ferry, George Benson , David Sanborn , Al Jarreau to name a few is back on the road with his band of young talented musicians.

At the top of his game for over 30 years, he is a two-time Grammy award winner, (U.S.), winner of the 2013 Edison Award for Lifetime Achievement In Jazz (Holland), winner of the 2010 Victoire du Jazz (France) and in 2013, was appointed a UNESCO Artist For Peace.

Marcus’ only other headline visit to Ronnie’s had sold out crowds in stunned amazement and talks of ‘best show they’d seen’. Expect to hear Marcus original compositions with a few cuts of 2018's hugely well received Blue Note lp "Laid Black", a taste of some soul & pop classics that Marcus laid down the classic basslines to and some surprises along the way. It goes without saying that these Ronnie’s dates are set to be a highlight of the 2020 calendar - unmissable.
