Thomas Seminar Ford is a guitarist hailing from Birmingham. After spending
his teens playing around the UK he moved to Boston to study at Berklee
College of Music where he majored in Jazz Composition and Performance.
He has performed at major festivals such as Wireless, Cheltenham Jazz
Festival, MADE festival, Glastonbury and London Jazz festival and received
regular airplay on BBC Radio 1, 2 and 3. He has also recorded for Sony and
Universal records with Elephantine and performed and recorded with Dorcha
which led to a tour with seminal American band Deerhoof.
In the Jazz and Latin world Thomas is busy as a sideman appearing on
releases by Sam Watts, The Jonathan Silk Big Band, Chris Young’s Orbits
and James Tartaglia whilst performing at world renown UK jazz clubs and
festivals (Ronnie Scotts, 606 Club, Pizza Express, Charlie Wrights, The Jazz
Bar, Jazz at the Proms, Cheltenham Jazz Fest, Mostly Jazz Fest, Glasgow
Jazz Fest, Manchester Jazz Fest, Gateshead Jazz Fest and more).
He also spent 3 years on Aldeburgh Music’s Open Space residencies with
composer Phil Dawson, and is endorsed by JJ guitars, Schorr guitars and
Andy Charles Guitars.
Currently Tom is busy working alongside Reuben James, Chris Daddy Dave,
Poppy Ajudha, Swindle, Daley, Ady Suleiman and Col3trane

From Monday to Saturday and following the main act, Ronnie Scott’s presents UK’s finest talents in the Late Late Show. A late night ‘blowing session’ where invited guests and musical celebrities such as Stevie Wonder, Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller, Robert Glasper, Lady Gaga and Christian Scott who happen to be in town are showcased – you never know who might drop by! Doors 11pm (weekdays) & 1am (weekends).
