Live music returns with a passion to the intimate and plush surroundings of our upstairs bar for our Monday to Thursday programme. Here is a rare opportunity to experience some of the best singers and instrumentalists on the London scene:  from popular New Orleans fused singer/pianists such as TJ Johnson on Monday, through ‘jazz ‘n samba’ sets from leading vocalists such as Georgia Mancino and Luna Cohen on Tuesdays, ebullient trumpeter Andy Davies with guest accompanists on Wednesdays plus mouthwatering guitar duos featuring the likes of Jim Mullen and Ant Law on Thursdays. Club DJ Mike Vitti and friends will be spinning soul, funk and jazz vinyl on Fridays and Saturdays.

29 June – KAREN LANE vocals & DOMINIC ASHWORTH guitar 

London-based Australian jazz vocalist, Karen Lane has five critically acclaimed albums and a passion for the music of Brazil." I know of no one else who sings with what I can only describe as her demure abandon. It's wholehearted but at the same time restrained, precisely phrased but not studied. A fine and distinctive singer." Musician Magazine UK - Dave Gelly. Canadian guitarist and composer, Dominic Ashworth is a much sought-after player by the likes of Jacqui Dankworth and Carol Kidd, his accompaniment of singers being peerless.

13 July – TRUDY KERR vocals & DOMINIC ASHWORTH  guitar

Trudy Kerr is renowned as one of the UK's finest jazz vocalists. Mojo Magazine says of her singing "Trudy Kerr is the genuine article - She is a Joy!" All About Jazz has described her as "100% real jazz musician with fluid phrasing and a mellifluous, warm and sensuous tone." Born in Australia, Trudy moved to the UK in the early 1990's to pursue a career in Jazz. She got her big break when Ronnie Scott asked her to perform at his Club.

20 July  – ZOE GILBY vocals & PAUL EDIS piano

Parliamentary Award Winner Jazz Vocalist of the Year 2019 Zoe Gilby, teams up with brilliant pianist Paul Edis to deliver The Great American Songbook, Bossa Nova and beyond. Zoe is establishing critical acclaim with her adventurous approach and influences from jazz and contemporary composers from Kate Bush to Antonio Carlos Jobim and Thelonious Monk.

27 July  – TAYLOR NOTCUTT vocals & MATT WILSON guitar

London-based jazz singer Taylor Notcutt started her music career at the age of 7. While at Trinity Laban Taylor received vocal coaching from jazz greats such as Anita Wardell, Trudy Kerr and Brigitte Beraha. She graduated in 2017. Alongside her studies Taylor has performed in a variety of venues across the country including Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Spice of Life, The Vortex, Oliver's Jazz and Piano Bar, the Rye Jazz and Blues Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. “A voice to watch, crystal clear, musical and gets to the heart of every song.” - Anita Wardell

3 August  – JO HARROP vocals & JAMIE McCREDIE guitar

Born in Durham and raised on a heady musical diet of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin, Jo Harrop cut her teeth as a session singer, working with a host of iconic artists including Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart, Gloria Gaynor and Enrique Iglesias. After moving to London, she quickly established herself as one of the most unmistakable voices in British jazz, performing everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall to the Sunset Sunside Jazz Club in Paris.

A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, over the last few years Jamie McCredie has cemented his reputation as one of the UK's busiest and most versatile guitarists. Recently returned from European/USA tour with Roisin Murphy, Jamie can be heard on her recent Mercury Music Prize nominated album ‘Hairless Toys’, and her latest release ‘Take Her Up To Monto’.

10 August  – HEIDI VOGEL vocals & JOSUE FERREIRA guitar

Vocalist with ‘The Cinematic Orchestra’ since 2006, Heidi appears on their albums ” To Believe “ , “Live at the Royal Albert Hall “, “ Late Night Tales “ and has opened for Erykah Badu in Dubai, performed at Montreux Jazz festival for Quincy Jones and appeared live on The Jimmy Kimmel Show on ABC. “...It is an approach that intensifies masterworks by Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Gilberto Gil and Ivan Lins, better than any interpreter since Elis Regina. Vogel captures an intimacy that is less romantic than conspiratorial – whispered secrets and shared confidences rather than pillow talk.” – Jazz Times 

17 August  – SARA McGUINNESS piano & JIMMY MARTINEZ bass

A mainstay of the popular ‘Viva Cuba’ club night in Ronnie’s Bar with her band ‘Sarabanda, pianist Sara McGuinness will perform a range of Cuban music including son from the 40s and 50s, as popularised by Buena Vista Social Club, through to more contemporary timba and Salsa plus other Latin American sounds in this rare duo format with bassist Jimmy Martinez.

24 August  – ELLA HOHNEN-FORD & NOAH STONEMAN piano

Born and raised in London, Ella is one of the few singers to graduate from the Royal Academy of Music Jazz course, and did so with First Class honours in 2020. Ella received a scholarship and was a recipient of the Frank Britton Award in 2017. She was a finalist in both the Ella Fitzgerald international Vocal Competition and Riga International Jazz Competition 2019. She has toured the UK with a variety of projects including TreeClimbers, ELFTET, London Vocal Project and Threebop. “Ella is an outstanding young musician. 31 August – LUNA COHEN vocals & SAM WATTS piano

Originally from Belo Horizonte in Brazil, Luna’s music represents and reflects a rich diversity of Brazilian culture, in which tropical colours, joy and passion combine to produce an unforgettable musical experience. She has captivated audiences with her sultry vocals and charismatic stage presence, each song telling a personal story, leaving the listener with a glimpse into her enchanting world.
