As winner of Jazz FM’s “instrumentalist of the Year”, and the Parliamentary Jazz committee “Album of the Year”, Daniel has become an influential figure within the UK Jazz scene. Having performed in several countries and with a vast discography, the multi award-winning composer, producer and bassist pertains a musical output that makes him unmissable.

‘Balance’ is a title of two meanings. The first is the ambitious requirement of the album to balance classical music and Jazz. This is reflected by the recording featuring a string orchestra alongside a jazz big band. The second meaning behind the title ‘Balance’ is Daniel’s attempt to reflect musically the need and the search for internal balance. With this in mind, the album sets out to honour the traditions of classical and jazz orchestration, as well as embracing the current sounds of the ‘New UK Jazz’.

All music is composed and orchestrated by Daniel Casimir.
