Member's Brunch - Hammond A Go Go
18th October 2024, 11am
Last year, the club proudly added a remarkable 1958 B3 Hammond Organ to our collection.
The legendary B-3 organ has been played by some of the jazz greats like Fats Waller, Count Basie and even George Gershwin. Over time, the music and the instrument evolved with contributions from musicians like Jimmy Smith, who introduced percussion features that paved the way for future Hammond icons such as Booker T. Jones, John Medeski, Larry Goldings and Keith Emerson.
