Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin
Lee Ritenour met Dave Grusin when he was a 19-year-old guitar player in Sergio Mendes' Brasil 66 and for fifty years since then they have recorded and played live together.
During Ritenour's five-decade career, the LA guitarist has taken his music to virtually every genre and has occupied every position in the rock ‘n’ roll firmament from ’70s fusion, a crossover star of the ’80s pop chart, an honorary exponent of Brazilian jazz, and the fingers behind ’90s supergroup Fourplay. Dave Grusin is a highly successful performer, producer, and composer who aside from his jazz playing and recording, is perhaps best known for his film and TV soundtrack compositions.
