Resolution 88 'Vortex' album launch

Resolution 88 fuse the sound of the modern London jazz scene with the inspirational greats of the 70’s such as Herbie Hancock’s Head Hunters.

Resolution 88 celebrate the release of their new studio album ‘Vortex’ at Ronnie Scott's – this show will be an exclusive chance to purchase the new album on 180g vinyl and CD *over a month ahead* of the official launch date (copies will be on sale at the door). With radio play including a Gilles Peterson exclusive (playing Resolution 88's homage to the Mizell Brothers, 'Sky High'), this show will fuse influences from the modern UK & London jazz scene with the classic mid 70's sound of labels such as Blue Note and Fantasy, channelling inspiration from Herbie Hancock & the Headhunters, the Mizell Brothers productions and fusion greats such as Azymuth and Weather Report.

“Monumental – band on the rise” – Larry Mizell

Resolution 88 has gone with the … influence of mid-70’s Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters and do it in the most heavyweight, sincere and unique way.
