JAMES KITCHMAN – guitarBRUNO HEINEN – piano
London-based guitarist James Kitchman’s projects have encompassed a broad array of musical styles. He plays alongside Corrie Dick in Jonathan Chung’s contemporary jazz trio Glasshopper. Kitchman appeared at recent series of concerts with The Libertines. His latest release with vocalist Sylvia Schmidt explores the Anglo/American folk songs of the Appalachian Mountains.
Musical synergy between Kitchman and the excellent pianist Bruno Heinen will be evident from the first two notes of Thelonious Monk’s ‘Bemsha Swing’. The duo has since developed a common improvisational language influenced by the great guitar/piano duos in jazz.
The club reserves the right to give away ticketed seats in the event of the ticket holder arriving after 7.30pm. In this case, the ticket holder will still be granted entry subject to availability with no guarantee of seating.
