Singer/pianist Jonathan Gee brings his special blend of blues and contemporary jazz vocal, from Ellington through Ray Charles and James Taylor to his own inimitable songs. Jazz Journal recently reviewing his ‘The Lions Revisited’ album spoke of his ‘fine voice….’ that ‘ resonates with meaning. ‘ As a pianist his grounding in the Harlem stride element of Monk and his history at Ronnie’s playing with Joe Lovano, Pharoah Sanders, Benny Golson as well as his esteemed trio shows a true breadth of musicianship. 

Joining him is tenor saxophone maestro Denys Baptiste, a MOBO and Mercury Prize winner, who has played with McCoy Tyner, Andrew Hill, Courtney Pine, Jason Rebello, Incognito, Jerry Dammers and Tomorrow’s Warriors. He has also collaborated with Booker prize winner Ben Okri and lauded poet Lemn Sissay.
