JAZZ JAMAICA : BLUE NOTE BLUE BEAT
Bassist Gary Crosby brings his fantastic band back to Ronnie Scotts to mark 75 years of the iconic Blue Note label. Guaranteed crowd-pleasers, they’ll be playing their special Blue Note Blue Beat set featuring some heavyweight jazz standards such as Birdland, The Sidewinder, A Night In Tunisia, and Footprints played with true Caribbean swing and style as only Jazz Jamaica know how. Irresistible!
The mighty Jazz Jamaica have rightly earned their reputation as ‘one of the UK’s leading good-time bands’ (The Independent) from their many exuberant live performances and dynamic album releases over the past two decades. As the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival put it: Jazz Jamaica should be permanent ambassadors to the United Nations of Good Times.
