"Transient" is the long awaited debut release from UK jazz trumpeter Freddie Gavita. Following his recent rise to join the Ronnie Scott's Club Quintet, Freddie has embarked on his first solo recording venture. Featuring long time collaborators and quartet members Tom Cawley (piano), Calum Gourlay (double bass) and James Maddren (drums), the music has global appeal. Scintillating grooves, evocative ballads and some serious swing take you on a melodic journey inspired by the many travels and tales of his already extensive career. A mature and virtuosic improviser, this promises to be a special album and a special night.
