Dialogues Trio featuring Julian Siegel
Bruno Heinen - Piano
Andrea Di Biase - Bass
Jon Scott - Drums
Julian Siegel - Reeds
Dialogues Trio was formed 10 years ago by Bruno Heinen, Andrea Di Biase and Jon Scott.
They released their debut album Twinkle Twinkle to critical acclaim on the forward looking Babel Label in 2012, with Julian Siegel featuring as special guest.
Heinen is a cool-headed and resourceful improviser with a beguiling touch, favouring slow-burning legato lines over overt displays of chops.
Heinen's ensemble is far more than just another piano trio
The record consists of 10 original variations on the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (copies will be available tonight).
Since then they have toured extensively in the UK and Europe, and tonight return to Ronnie Scott's as a quartet to play originals, alongside arrangements of compositions by Shorter, Bernstein and Monk.
