"Ridley has made a stirring debut here and his future on the scene seems very bright after this fine start" - **** - Marlbank
Formed in 2012, The Matt Ridley Quartet established themselves as 'One of Britain's very finest contemporary quartets' (Jazzviews). Ridley's music takes the listener on an absorbing journey, which effectively marries the exhilaration of jazz improvisation with intricately sculpted arrangements. After releasing 2 studio albums (Thymos 2013, Metta 2016) and performing at clubs, theatres and jazz festivals across the country, tonight the quartet join forces with heavyweight young guitarist and longtime collaborator Ant Law to play a set of previously unrecorded material.
“We haven't had anything like this in New York for over twenty years". Wynton Marsalis
