In January 2018 a new quartet was formed between London and Bari Italy. It was a meeting of two artists both known to the public as musicians of passion in the true sense of the word. This is an explosive, dynamic quartet taking a radical, contemporary look at the music of The Beatles complemented by compositions of the two leaders.
Jonathan Gee, originally awarded ‘ Most promising newcomer ‘ by The Guardian, is one of the leading pianist/singers on the UK jazz scene, appearing regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The QEH and On Radio 3’s In Tune, is joined by the saxophonist Gaetano Partipilo, known for his original style characterised by a strong mixture of avant-garde and tradition.
