Over the last two decades bassist, singer, composer and band leader Avishai Cohen, has earned his reputation as one of the world's greatest bassists. It is however as a composer that his musical statement has grown. Now with his Trio he brings fresh compositions and arrangements to the stage, as well as performing many audience favourites from his past recordings and live shows.
Accompanying him on stage is a new talent ,pianist and composer Elchin Shirinov from Azerbaijan, who has been inspired since an early age by great musicians and who always knew he wanted to be become a jazz pianist.
Avishai is also joined by an old school friend, the creative and distinctive Noam David, a drummer whose rich style and complex polyrhythmic sounds have contributed greatly to the ever growing music scene in Israel and has accompanied Avishai for many years in the music.

“An exciting band to hear live” John Fordham.
Described as “An innovator” and “A gamechanger” in The Guardian, British guitarist Ant Law is featured in tonight's Late Late Show.
His debut “Entanglement” was released in 2013 to great acclaim, followed by “Zero Sum World” in 2015. They have toured extensively and the third album “Life I Know” is out on Edition Records on the 9th of November, 2018.
Ant plays in Tim Garland's band with Jason Rebello & Asaf Sirkis, featuring on “Songs To The North Sky”, “Return To The Fire” and “ONE” which was shortlisted for a Grammy and won the Jazzwise Best Album award. He is a member of Trio HLK who record/tour with Dame Evelyn Glennie. He has also worked with Gwilym Simcock, Cory Henry, Thomas Gould and is frequently featured in “Total Guitar” and “Guitar Techniques” magazines, most recently as an “Astounding Virtuoso” (August 2018).
Ant has an interest in Physics, which he read as a scholar at Edinburgh University after growing up in Saudi Arabia. He tunes in perfect fourths and is the author of the book introducing the tuning “3rd Millenium Guitar” published by Mel Bay.
