Bruno Montrone is a jazz pianist, organist and composer. Born in Bari Italy, he began the study of composition and jazz arrangement with the master Luigi Giannatempo and N.Piccinni Conservatory in Bari gaining a Laure in Jazz piano with honours. Bruno has studied with Barry Harris, Davide Santorsola, Ehud Asherie, Bob Durham, Joey Calderazzo, Eddie Gomez, Deduca de Fonseca, Renato Chicco, Harold Danko, Stefan Karlsson, Billy Drummond, Antonio Zambrini, Dado Moroni, Gerald Clayton, Mike LeDonne, Helen Sung, Lee Konitz, Barend Middlehoff, Alessandro Minetto, Paul Benedettini, Alberto Malnati, Marc Abrams, Anne Ducros, Mario Raja, He has performed with Willie Jones III, Andy Farber, Joy Garrison, Nicola Muresu, Adam Pache, Enrico Rava, Angelo Adamo, Bepi D'Amato, Michele Hendriks and Bob Durham to name a few. Since 2007 he has been a jazz piano teacher at the prestigious "Il Pentagramma" music school in Bari. Since 2010 he has been the pianist along with Renato Chicco at the Spoleto Vocal Jazz Workshop chaired by Michele Hendriks. From 2012 to 2014 Bruno lived and worked in the London jazz scene where he had the opportunity to collaborate with the top musicians in the U.K and to play in the main jazz clubs and festivals of the country.

From Monday to Saturday and following the main act, Ronnie Scott’s presents UK’s finest talents in the Late Late Show. A late night ‘blowing session’ where invited guests and musical celebrities such as Stevie Wonder, Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller, Robert Glasper, Lady Gaga, Christian Scott etc who happen to be in town are showcased – you never know who might drop by! Doors 11pm (weekdays) & 1am (weekends).
