A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Ed has since established himself as a regular face on the UK music scene and continues to be greatly in demand both at home and abroad.
Though perfectly at home playing anything from club dates to TV and film sessions (Sinatra: Their Way, The X Factor UK, The One Show, The BBC Proms), Ed still has his roots firmly placed in jazz and can be seen most often at Ronnie Scott’s, performing with one of the house bands (Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra & All-Stars) or various other headlining artists.
His versatility is attested by his range of West End Theatre work: his credits include Sinatra – A Man And His Music (London Palladium), In The Heights (King’s Cross). Previous work includes Gypsy (Savoy), The West End Men (Vaudeville), Dancing In The Streets (UK tour), New Jersey Nights (UK tour), West Side Story, Little Shop Of Horrors, Singing In The Rain and Chess.
Ed has performed with major orchestras including BBC Concert Orchestra and The John Wilson Orchestra, as well as renowned artists such as Peter Erskine, Peter Long, Jools Holland, Gregory Porter, Clare Teale and Ray Gelato. He has spent times as drummer for Kwabs, Espa and Hudson Taylor and has also played for Pixie Lott, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Claire Martin, Mica Paris, Blue, Lisa Stansfield, Petula Clarke, Rumer & Imelda May.
