Live music returns with a passion to the intimate and plush surroundings of our upstairs bar for our Monday to Thursday programme. Here is a rare opportunity to experience some of the best singers and instrumentalists on the London scene:  from popular New Orleans fused singer/pianists such as TJ Johnson on Monday, through ‘jazz ‘n samba’ sets from leading vocalists such as Georgia Mancino and Luna Cohen on Tuesdays, ebullient trumpeter Andy Davies with guest accompanists on Wednesdays plus mouthwatering guitar duos featuring the likes of Jim Mullen and Ant Law on Thursdays. Club DJ Mike Vitti and friends will be spinning soul, funk and jazz vinyl on Fridays and Saturdays.

Guitar solo or guitar duos … from straight ahead to fusion, folk, blues & gypsy jazz & occasionally singers:

7 Jan – JIM MULLEN guitar & TOM REMON guitar

Jim Mullen is a living legend whose instantly recognisable sound has graced countless recordings. His early gigging days were spent with the likes of Average White Band and Kokomo. The wider public know him from his 70s jazz-funk days with the Morrissey—Mullen Band and he has been first choice guitarist with visiting US stars such as Jimmy Smith, Mose Allison and Gene Harris. In 2014, he featured prominently on the Citrus Sun album, 'People of Tomorrow', produced by Incognito co-founder, Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick.

Tom Remon is a young upcoming guitarist who has graduated from both Middlesex University and the Tomorrow’s Warriors Development Program.  He has performed with Denys Baptiste, Steve Williamson, Gary Crosby and many others playing as a sideman and leader in many groups. He cites Peter Bernstein, and Wes Montgomery as his heroes. Through the idea of a mutual friend, Both Tom and Jim put their heads together and put together a duo jazz guitar album in August during the Lockdown.  The album is to be released on Lunaria Records in March 2021 playing Jazz standards and a few of Tom’s Originals.

14 Jan – HARRY DIPLOCK guitar & JEREMIE COULLON guitar

Harry Diplock is a young London-based guitarist, regularly playing rhythm and lead in a wide variety of Jazz, Swing and Gypsy Jazz groups. Fellow guitarist Jeremie Coulton along with Harry are founder members of The London Django Collective which was born out of the desire to create a forum for musicians influenced by the musical legacy of Django Reinhardt. The Collective remains in the spirit of Django, whilst pushing the genre of ‘gypsy jazz’ in London forward into a modern sphere.

21 Jan – HANNES RIEPLER guitar & JOHN PARRICELLI guitar

Hannes Riepler grew up in Austria, studied jazz guitar in Amsterdam and moved to London in 2006, where he dived into the vibrant scene as an energetic and inventive guitar player. Carving a varied career, he has worked with Kenny Wheeler, Robbie Williams, Charlotte Church and David Gilmour
