Five-time British Jazz Awards winner, trumpeter Enrico Tomasso met Louis Armstrong as a child and brings true affection and a wealth of knowledge to this celebration of the musical union of two titans of 20th Century Jazz.
Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong’s legendary and long-lived musical partnership was full to the brim with love, humour and effortless mastery of their respective instruments. Their duets on songs like ‘Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off’, ‘Cheek to Cheek’ and ‘A Fine Romance’ have become classics.
A life-long Ella fan, Joanna Eden has toured her ‘Embraceable Ella’ show all over the world garnering responses like ‘bloody marvellous’ from Dame Cleo Laine and a standing ovation from Ella’s own archivist John Hasse of the Smithsonian Institution.
Joanna Eden is a singer/songwriter based near Cambridge. Her 4th original album 'Truth Tree' is due out in 2018. She mentored singer Sam Smith for nine years and is one of 'The Hundred' on BBC One's singing show 'All Together Now'.
