As we welcome in the new year, our doors are still closed to live audiences but we can still give you some live music. The show will be at 8pm GMT. The live stream will appear live here so simply bookmark this page. It is also available directly from our Facebook and our YouTube channel.
Donations: it is important in these uncertain times that these sessions remain free for all to view for now, so we are funding these entirely through donations - please make a donation so we can keep producing these for you, support our artists and live music - thank you!

The music of George Gershwin has always been a source of magical inspiration for jazz musicians and his songs and orchestral pieces are regarded as timeless. In this concert you will get to hear some of these songs, like his first hit Swanee as Paul Whitman may have played, The Man I Love a la Oscar Peterson, Lady Be Good as Benny Goodman might have performed in duo with Stephane Grappelli. The concert will culminate with Gershwin’s iconic composition Rhapsody In Blue, which is nearly 100 years old, in a special lockdown concert arrangement for the ensemble. James has played this piece multiple times with orchestras all over the world, but this version is, in his words ‘more fun’. As with all James’s musical extravaganza’s the pieces will be sandwiched between anecdotes and general facts that may be or not be relevant!
