An exciting premiere of two top emerging vocalists sharing the Ronnie's stage.

Luca Manning is an individual – an exciting new artist with a big voice  and a story to tell. A passionate vocalist, songwriter and activist who  grew up in Glasgow and moved to London aged 18 to study at the  Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After being named ‘Jazz  Newcomer of the Year’ at the 2020 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Luca  has had an exciting buzz around him as an emerging artist on the  scene. Luca’s debut release ‘When The Sun Comes Out’ (Oct ’19)  features award winning pianist and long term collaborator Fergus  McCreadie as well as special guest saxophonist, Laura Macdonald.  Following on from the album’s release, Luca has begun working on new  original music and collaborating with artists from a diverse range of  styles and scenes. This music is a new direction for Luca, bringing  together various inspirations that have shaped him over the years as  well as working across the arts, collaborating with other exciting young  artists.

Cherise Adams-Burnett - Parliamentary Jazz Award 2020 recipient and Jazz FM Vocalist of the Year  2019 is quickly becoming recognised as a fiercely talented vocalist and  musician. Cherise released her Debut EP 'Paradise' to critical acclaim at  the beginning of 2020. Since graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire  of Music in late 2017, she has been invited to perform at many of the  UK’s most prestigious venues and festivals ranging from the BBC Proms  at The Royal Albert Hall and the Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C to  Festival performances including the UKs Love Supreme Jazz Festival .When asked about her approach as an artist and music, Cherise  described her goal as...
"To celebrate and draw from all the musical styles that I love without being  defined strictly by any particular Genre.... to bring something fresh!" Owing much of her earlier development to the highly-regarded educational  group Tomorrow’s Warriors, nowadays she is glad to be involved in  developing younger musicians through the same program as a both tutor  and workshop leader.

Luca Manning is an individual - an exciting artist with a big voice and a story to tell. Shaped initially by the buzzing Glasgow music and arts scene, Luca now finds their heart stolen by all that East London has to offer. Stylistically androgynous in both their music and presentation, Luca continually blurs lines and questions rigidity at every opportunity. Luca’s journey so far has included collaborating with Glasgow nujazz collective corto.alto, performing at the EFG London Jazz Festival Opening Gala ‘Jazz Voice’ and collaborating with dancer, choreographer and all round icon Steph Burrell. In their spare time Luca enjoys dancing to disco, turning lewks and dreaming of the day they’ll own a baby sausage dog called Aretha.
