Live music returns with a passion to the intimate and plush surroundings of our upstairs bar for our Monday to Thursday programme. Here is a rare opportunity to experience some of the best singers and instrumentalists on the London scene: from popular New Orleans fused singer/pianists such as TJ Johnson on Monday, through ‘jazz 'n' samba’ sets from leading vocalists such as Georgia Mancino and Luna Cohen on Tuesdays, ebullient trumpeter Andy Davies with guest accompanists on Wednesdays plus mouthwatering guitar duos featuring the likes of Jim Mullen and Ant Law on Thursdays. Club DJ Mike Vitti and friends will be spinning soul, funk and jazz vinyl on Fridays and Saturdays.

An exciting Hammond organ player as well as a hard swinging pianist, Ross never fails to be ‘in the moment’ and give his all to the performance. Ross’s musical skills have kept him in high demand, seeing him play with jazz names such as Will Vinson, Dennis Rollins, Guy Barker, Michael Janisch, Joel Frahm, Liane Carroll, Stan Sulzman, Steve Arguelles, John Paracelli, Bobby Wellins, Clark Tracey, as well as being a regular member of the Jim Mullen Organ Trio.
28 July – ANDY DAVIES trumpet & ROB LUFT guitar
Still in his twenties, Rob Luft is an award-winning guitarist from London whose virtuosity has been compared to that of six-string legends John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola & Paco De Lucia. Praised by The Times for performances with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in 2015, who said he was destined “to achieve great things in the future”, Rob was subsequently the recipient of the 2016 Kenny Wheeler Prize from The Royal Academy of Music, and also of 2nd Prize in The 2016 Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival. His debut album, ‘Riser’, was released on Edition Records in 2017 to widespread critical acclaim from the European jazz media.
4 August – ANDY DAVIES trumpet & RICK SIMPSON piano
A swinging jazz pianist, Rick has presented critically acclaimed original projects through his band, Klammer. This year recently, he released his heartfelt take on the music of Radiohead with ‘Everything All of The Time: Kid A Revisited’. He is the regular pianist with the popular Leo Richardson Quartet.

Contemporary jazz with a gospel-tinged, and folk-inspired, freedom and abandon. Conjuring up the joy and emotion typified by Paul Bley, Ahmad Jamal and Abdullah Ibrahim, whilst exploring a modern-day soundscape permeated by the buzz of the UK Jazz Renaissance. Sam Leak is a London-based Jazz pianist described by JazzFM's Helen Mayhew as 'One of the brightest stars in the Jazz piano galaxy, a heavenly improviser, and a brilliant prospect for the future.' His eponymous debut album was listed in MOJO Magazine as one of the 'Top Ten International Releases of the Year.'

Over a career spanning more than 25 years, award winning jazz guitarist Nigel Price has become widely acknowledged as one of the hardest working musicians in the business. Musically, his blend of flowing bebop lines, deep blues sensibility and his mastery of chording continue to delight audiences and fellow musicians alike. His career highlights include a support show for Gladys Knight at The Royal Albert Hall and an appearance on Van Morrison’s 2016 album ‘Keep Me Singing’.
1 September - ANDY DAVIES trumpet & TOM CAWLEY piano
Tom Cawley is one of the UK’s leading jazz pianists. He has performed worldwide with some of the country’s leading artists, most notably Peter Gabriel, with whom he has also recorded two albums and a live DVD. Cawley is also a composer, bandleader and educator. His group, Curios, won Best Band the 2008 BBC Jazz Awards. As a freelance jazz piano player, Tom regularly led the house band at Ronnie Scott's club. He is also a professor of jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music.
8 September - ANDY DAVIES trumpet & NATHAN BRITTON piano
Nathan is the musical director & resident pianist at Piano Bar Soho, working with many world-class artists including Ronnie Scott’s favourite Andy Davies. He has performed on major radio and TV stations such as the BBC, London Live and JAZZ FM, as well as performing at the UK premiere of the Miles Davis film ‘Miles Ahead’ and as part of the London & Barcelona Jazz Festivals.

Jazz pianist Alex Hutton is a fine composer with an ear for folk and classical influences. 22 September - ANDY DAVIES trumpet & ANDREW McCORMACK piano
In 2007, Andrew McCormack burst onto the scene with his debut album, ‘Telescope’, a masterful record converging McCormack’s inimitable free flowing melodic lines with his rhythmic impulse. He has since toured with his trio and with the saxophonist, Jason Yarde. The McCormack & Yarde Duo released a series of highly acclaimed albums including ‘MY Duo’ in 2010, and ‘Places And Other Spaces’ in 2011. McCormack has been a driving force within the groups of A- listers Kyle Eastwood, Eric Alexander, Denys Baptiste and Jean Toussaint.
29 September - ANDY DAVIES trumpet & MIKE GORMAN piano
Mike Gorman was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. After completing a Music Degree at University College Salford, he gained experience working on the thriving Manchester music scene. Mike moved to London in 1995, and fast became established as one of the UK’s leading jazz pianists and organists.
Mike is also in great demand as a session player touring and recording extensively with a wide variety of artists in the field of popular and commercial music, including Boy George, Mica Paris, Incognito, Us3, Van Morrison, Hamish Stuart, Marty Pellow, Marlena Shaw, Gwen McCrae, Andrea Bocelli and Tom Robinson.
