Live music returns with a passion to the intimate and plush surroundings of our upstairs bar for our Monday to Thursday programme. Here is a rare opportunity to experience some of the best singers and instrumentalists on the London scene:  from popular New Orleans fused singer/pianists such as TJ Johnson on Monday, through ‘jazz ‘n samba’ sets from leading vocalists such as Georgia Mancino and Luna Cohen on Tuesdays, ebullient trumpeter Andy Davies with guest accompanists on Wednesdays plus mouthwatering guitar duos featuring the likes of Jim Mullen and Ant Law on Thursdays. Club DJ Mike Vitti and friends will be spinning soul, funk and jazz vinyl on Fridays and Saturdays.

Gentle bossas and swaying  summer sambas.

19 October – FREDDIE BENEDICT vocals & CHRIS BLAND piano

Hailing from a theatrical family, Freddie Benedict’s extraordinary voice soared from a young age. A choral scholar and classical soloist in his early years, it is as a jazz interpreter that his mature, warm baritone has really found its calling. He is also a talented multi-linguist and mean trumpeter, with a side gig as a pretty sharp mimic.

“Freddie is an incredible young, up-and-coming jazz vocalist.”— Jon Smith, The Swingles

Beginning to become better known on the scene, pianist Chris Bland who turned professional in 2014, has worked with the likes of Brian May, James Morrison, Bobby Shew, Elliot Mason, Dennis Rollins and NYJO.

26 October - JO HARROP vocals & JAMIE McCREDIE guitar

Born in Durham and raised on a heady musical diet of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin, Jo Harrop cut her teeth as a session singer, working with a host of iconic artists including Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart, Gloria Gaynor and Enrique Iglesias. After moving to London, she quickly established herself as one of the most unmistakable voices in British jazz, performing everywhere from the Royal Albert Hall to the Sunset Sunside Jazz Club in Paris.

A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, over the last few years Jamie McCredie has cemented his reputation as one of the UK's busiest and most versatile guitarists. Recently returned from European/USA tour with Roisin Murphy, Jamie can be heard on her recent Mercury Music Prize nominated album ‘Hairless Toys’, and her latest release ‘Take Her Up To Monto’.
