Trumpet player and vocalist Pete Horsfall is a rising star on the international jazz scene with a swinging trumpet style inspired by Louis Armstrong, Henry “Red” Allen and Ruby Braff. Pete has performed at legendary jazz venues including London's Ronnie Scott's, Paris' Sunset/Sunside and the Lincoln Center in New York City. He has also been featured at many festivals throughout the world including Glastonbury, Love Supreme, Edinburgh and North Sea amongst many others. He has been a featured soloist with popular UK jazz artists including Kansas Smittys, Guy Barker Big Band, Clare Teal Sextet and many others. As a recording artist Pete's debut album Nighthawks was critically acclaimed and was featured in live broadcasts on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM. He has also recorded and toured with pop and hip-hop bands including De La Soul, DJ Premier and Friendly Fires.
For this lunchtime concert at Ronnie Scott's, Pete presents a special show celebrating the music of Duke Ellington, the great genius of jazz.
