£12.00 - £12.00
Every Thursday night, following the second show, Ronnie Scott’s presents the Late Late Show, where some of the UK’s finest jazz talents take to the stage for a late night blowing session. We are changing the vibe with music that includes and is influenced by jazz-funk, soul, R&B and hip hop. Thursdays’ hosts will present their show with different guests each month.
A DJ will augment the evening starting the night until close. Doors open at 11.15pm.
Most tickets for the Late Late Show will be available at the door if advance tickets have sold out.
Jamie Murray is one of the top drummers on the scene today. H has played with the likes of Gary Husband, Tim Lefebvre and most recently has released a track with Donny McCaslin called “Turned”. A forward thinking and conceptual player with a solid groove style yet he has an open-minded approach to free experimentation. His performances are always fresh and exhilarating. Jamie has a strong sense of writing, his compositions are personal and original with an electronic/jazz fusion style attached to them.
Jamie has played with most of his contemporaries and peers in the London Jazz scene as well as crossing into the electronic pop world. Most recently, he has recorded with Binker Golding for Blue Note Re:Imagined as well as many other musicians in today's Jazz scene.
