In Celebration of the London 2012 Olympics, Ronnie Scott’s presents its Classic Jazz Series of concerts Friday 27th July – Sunday 12th August inclusive!
Each evening will start with a support set from our award-winning house band, The Ronnie Scott’s All Stars – they band will perform a set of classic jazz as well as recount some famous and entertaining stories that have gone on in the club’s 53 years history.
Then it’s on to the main event! Each night has a different theme focusing on past legends that have played at the club such as Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson and Buddy Rich alongside other favourites of the genre such as Frank Sinatra, George Gershwin and Ray Charles – each show brought to you by the top jazz musicians in the country.

Elliott has been an in demand drummer for many years now working with artists and bands that include; Shirley Bassey, John Lord and Roger Glover (Deep Purple), Paul Anka, Michael Ball, Jane McDonald, Tony Christie, Danyl Johnson, Keely Smith, Tony Hadley, Limahl, Rose- Marie, The BBC Big Band, Syd Laurence Orchestra, The Drifters, Georgie Fame, Mathew Herbert, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, Laurie Holloway, Michael Feinstein and The Royal Philarmonic Orchestra. His West End credits include; Lion King, The Rat Pack, Dirty Dancing, Shrek, Jersey Boys, The Producers and Priscilla Queen of The Desert. He also runs his own band that has headlined at Ronnie Scotts club in London on more than one occasion and released an album – Is That Not What You Wanted.
In 2012 Elliott had the idea to produce a 25th Anniversary Buddy Rich Memorial concert at the Palladium in London. He was the Creative director of the event hosted by Buddy’s daughter Cathy Rich and he performed alongside many leading names in the international drumming community
